In this 3-part series, I will be showcasing the roll-neck aka “Turtleneck” sweater. This is one of the most versatile sweaters you can add to your wardrobe. As seen here, it can be substituted for the typical shirt and tie during the winter months. The practical benefits are quite obvious due to the extra fold of fabric the garment provides and doing away with the need for a scarf. A cashmere or pure wool fabric is ideal and this piece can easily be worn under a blazer or coat. As mentioned in Series I, the roll neck sweater is an indispensable garment in your wardrobe; one that can be worn both formal and informal. The most important things to look for when picking one out is the fabric and the fit. This sweater should not be too bulky around the chest and waist and it should definitely feel warm and soft which is why I usually lean towards 100% cashmere or wool. Cotton cashmere is also not a bad option for those warmer fall days.
